I agree.***********************************
Yeah, I'm on the facebook now. I don't know what it is.
My manager, booking agent, and sometimes lover, Mindy Raf, told me I have to join.
Here's a spontaneous facebook haiku:
don't write on my wall.
knock it down and come inside
my poetic mind.

Come to The Ritz Bar tomorrow night and hear me sing some songs

Bitch stole my look

In other news, I rocked out last night at The Ritz!
Gay men blossomed into Leibya flowers as their souls filled up on my poetry and music.
There was no mic stand at the bar though, so the hot n yummy Wendy Ho held it up for me! That girl can steal my purse anytime. Rummage through it, baby, go to town!
Wendy Ho and I, along with Mutha Nature's Grlzz are producing and hosting
W.R.A.G Fest (womyn.rocking.are.godly) next month.
So save the date!
And some new videos coming as soon as I figure out how to get my solar powered camera to upload onto my poetry powered computer.

Katie Holmes...
check it out.
I know people are saying she got the boy cut (the Leibya cut, whatever) to look more like Tom, but I know that's not true.
I know somehow she heard the love song I wrote about her and wanted to be closer to me.
Thanks Katie! I'm working on your rescue mission every day. Hang in there baby.

So close to fame...
We are interested in featuring one of your songs on the next Coast 2 Coast Mixtape. Email: Coast2coastmixtapes@gmail. com for more info. Thanks
So I thought to myself, "sweet! my amazing music is going to be on a mixtape! Yes! This is my chance to spread the Leibya love around!" So, of course, I e-mailed them back asking for details.
Here's what they said: (it's really long so I bolded the important parts)
We go through myspace each day and offer a spot on our mixtapes to 2 artists a day that we feel would be a good addition to the mixtape and you were one of them. We have done mixtapes in the past with: DJ Khaled, Big Mike, DJ Kay Slay, Flo Rida, Obie Trice, Mick Boogie and a lot more. We are interested in letting you feature one of your songs on our upcoming project, "Def Jam's DJ DMA & Shadyville's DJ Domination Present: Coast 2 Coast Mixtape Vol. 22: Shadyville Edition - Hosted By DJ Noodles." If you buy 100 copies of the mixtape that you are featured on, you can get your track on it.
To get the spot, we need your track and payment for your 100 copies before the deadline at midnight on Saturday, March 22nd. The copies are $3.50 each plus $25 shipping so it's a total of $375. (It is an extra $100 for international shipping so its a total of $450 if you live outside of the U.S.) The track that you want to use is up to you and as long as you get your track and payment in before the deadline, your spot is guaranteed. Payment needs to be sent via Paypal.com to: lilfats@hirollerz.com. You can also pay via Paypal or Credit/Debit card by visiting the buy now page at http://www.hirollerz.com/coast2coast/Mixtapebuypage.htm If you cant pay through Paypal, you can send the cash through Western Union to: Kyle Hiersche in Portland, Oregon. Then send an email to: lilfats@hirollerz.com and let me know your full name and city and state you sent it from along with the western union transfer number and your track attached as an mp3 and then your all set.
We only offer this spot to 2 artists each day and out of those only the serious ones who get everything in before the deadline actually get a spot. Please understand that all talented independent artists that we offer this to - "say" they will get 100 copies just to get on a major mixtape - but hardly any of them actually will. That is why we have to make sure you purchase the mixtapes upfront. After you send your payment, send your track as an mp3 to the email: lilfats@hirollerz.com. Make sure your song is no longer than 3 minutes and make sure to name the file with the correct artist and track name. Also be sure to include your correct shipping address when you pay through Paypal and put your artist and track name in the "note" section of the payment along with your shipping address. Your track will then be featured on the mixtape and you will be sent 100 copies of the mixtape by April 14th. Looking forward to working with you.
Thanks,
Lil Fats
So I thought to myself, "sweet! what an amazing deal! i pay 400 bucks to have just one of my poetic, chick rock, folk songs on a compilation CD featuring other artists (J Khaled, Big Mike, DJ Kay Slay, Flo Rida, Obie Trice, Mick Boogie) just like me! And then I'll have 100 copies of it to sell! sweet!" So I wrote this back to them, and they never responded.
Weird....
Thank for supplying all of those details.
Leibya Rogers is looking forward to being featured on your mixtape, but first..
Leibya needs to know what is was about her music that stood out and made your company think it would be a good addition to the mixtape?
You can use your own words, or fill in the blanks below.
Please try and write more than one word replies.
*******************************
The first time I listened to Leibya Rogers music I felt....
Before I listened to Leibya Rogers music I was....
And now I am....
My favorite Leibya Rogers track is.....
The reason I like it the best is because....
The reason Leibya Rogers voice penetrates my soul is because....
Please choose one:
a)After listening to Leibya's music I still like men
b)After listening to Leibya's music I now hate men and can't wait until the day women can procreate without them.
a)Soy is Joy
b)Milk is Joy
a)Women are powerful vessels of perfection
b) Women are objects and I love to control them
Thank you,
~Leibya Rogers

This week
But if you're not a Raonoke student it's okay, you can get soaked in my poetic rain showers in NYC on Saturday.
Under St. Marks Theater

I'll be singing and reading poems between some awesome improv comedy with Baby Grenade and Fat Penguin.

And now here are some haikus that are dripping out of my mind and onto my solar powered computer right now.
Won't be drinking beer

If you want my body...

I'm going to take this picture down as my main myspace picture because Valentine's Day is over, and not because I got an e-mail from an anti-fan/man telling me I looked "nasty ass."
Men. They're so jealous of my music; and my tiny, perfect, smooth, poetic body.

My fans have spoken (sang!)
Check out this video that was sent to me by future chick rockers Katie and Bethany of Wheeler High School.
This is what happens when young girls hear my music: they're changed, they're moved to act, they're transformed by my poetry. So yeah, here's Katie and Behany singing my hit song "Leibya Spells Freedom" (with props!)
(Ladies, I hope to rock out in in your town someday.)
This is proof that all my fans are worthy of a melody,~Leibs

Happy holy-days
Hello my little recycled bowls, filled with holy-day spirit,
I know what you're all thinking. "Leibya, what did you do to celebrate the season? I need to know because I want to be just like you!"
Well like all of you, I put my earth friendly presents under my solar powered hemp tree and sipped some hearty egg-free eggnog with a bunch of local folk musicians and poets. We all read holiday haikus to each other and congratulated ourselves on being able to continually create spiritually uplighting and life-changing musical creations. It was a rockin good time.
Hope you'll all get a chance to listen to my new Holiday Medley I've put up here. I jammed it out of my soul one afternoon last week and decided to record it for my inner interweb circle. You're welcome.
May your new year be worthy of an awesome melody,
~Leibya

Bra on my body
But I wanted to let you all know that some hot chick threw her bra on me while I was rockin out at Comix!!
"Leibya Rogers scored big time with her demographic and had a bra thrown on stage! She sang the rest of her songs with it on her head, around her neck, smelled it a couple of times, and finally wore it. Because she recycles." -Abbi Crutchfield
Check out the pics:

Also, I've ran out of EPs! Gotta make more. Sorry. It takes time to package each one as I personally attach a strand of my pit hair on each copy. Oh, and if you can't catch me at a show and you want me to send one to you, please contact me at Leibyarogers@gmail.com

Perry Farrell digs me!!
I auditioned for Perry Farrell a little bit ago (Jane's Addiction, Porno for Pyros ) in hopes of being a part of this year's Lollapalooza! He totally dug me, but I guess I didn't make the cut.
Okay I guess it wasn't a real audition, but part of some comedy thing. (I don't why, but people tend to laugh at my purity)
Here's a short clip of me auditioning. ( I'm posting the outtakes because they're raw and real)

I'm a winner...again!
I won the Poetry vs Comedy show last night at Mo Pitkins!
It was an amazing all female show with some hilariously hot chicks and some poignantly hot poets as well.
I had planned to just read a poem I wrote about my first and last intimate experience with a man called "Waiting For Your Funeral" but before the show was starting my mind started dripping out this haiku that I wrote awhile back. As I furiously scribbled it onto my notepad another poem came out as well just as the lights were coming down.
My haiku and impromptu poem combo was a hit, so I thought I'd share the love with those of you who were not able to attend the show.
Genesis
It's all a facade.
Jesus, Buddha, Etc.
I am omni god.
Don't mean to laugh or be glib,
But the teachings are a fib.
How could someone strong like me
Come from some man's tiny rib?
My birth
Was from the earth.
I am strong
And purty
Because I am dirt--y.
Adam, you're not my mother
Or my brother.
No, you're just another
Creation
In this nation
Of symbols.
This nation of man-thimbles.
"I'll protect you sweet girl, you're weak and alone
you are fragile because you [ha!] came from man's bone."
So I'll read the good book
But my soul it won't smother
Nature
is
my
mother.

I'm a winner
Leibya Rogers is the winner of the 2007 "Battle of the Funny Bands!"
I thought it was a poety n' music competition, but I guess it was a comedy thing.
Apparently people find my music funny. I think that people were just so
spirtually moved that they had to laugh, you know, to prevent themselves
from crying tears of renewal.Along with winning the title
"New Yorks's Funniest Band," I also won 300 dollars.
I haven't spent it all yet, but last night I took myself out for
some really expensive BBQ bean curd and wrote some new poems in my brand new, hand woven papyrus journal.
Thanks to everyone who voted for me. Especially the men.
(Remember, I cut off your balls and stuck them in your heart.
Try and keept it that way.)
Come out to my EP release show in June!
You're worthy of a melody,
~Leibya
